Gilead and Farrell Unite to Expand Continuum of Care

Gilead Community Services and Farrell Treatment Center are pleased to announce a merger of the two organizations which will expand their continuum of care to include a full range of mental health recovery services along with residential and outpatient addiction services.

Gilead Community Services has been providing a continuum of high quality mental health services for over 50 years.  Farrell Treatment Center has been providing high quality and intensive treatment for addiction and substance abuse for the past 45 years.  Both organizations share a recovery philosophy that values the needs and goals of each person served and designs treatment to incorporate best practices in our respective fields.  With rich histories of commitment to person centered and recovery-oriented treatment, there are significant clinical, operational and financial benefits to these organizations merging. .

“This merger presents a great opportunity to expand the services that Gilead provides to include both residential and outpatient addiction” said Dan Osborne, Gilead’s CEO.  “We are excited to be joining forces with Farrell, an organization that has changed thousands of lives through compassionate and person-centered care”

“Gilead and Farrell share a devotion to excellence, innovation, integrity and compassion.” said Dave Borzellino, Farrell’s Executive Director.  “With this shared culture, we are confident that the merger will improve the independence and quality of life for all the individuals that we serve.”

As a result of this merger agreement, Farrell Treatment Center will become a program of Gilead Community Services.  All of the current programming in both organizations will remain in place.  In a time of increasingly limited state funding, this is a move that makes financial sense.
